Track 6 is a different version of the song, It now includes a full orchestra. Not just piano.
It’s rare for me to like an album the first time I hear it. I’ve always found comfort in familiarity; usually new songs have to “grow” on me. But it was love at first listen for “This is me... Slower and Faster”, Nick Festari’s brand new 6-track EP. It’s the kind of music you can listen to with your eyes closed and see the all kinds of imaginary pictures in your head; the kind of music you blast with the car’s windows rolled down; the kind you sing along to with the enthusiasm of a fevered tent-revival disciple. “This is me... Slower and Faster”, gives you chills from its first notes.
Great mix of sounds, style, production and performance on This Is Me…Slower And Faster. Nick has done himself proud here if you were to ask me…and now that his creativity and writing have taken him to entirely new places in music, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to find this hard-working artist has become completely addicted to that feeling. I can only imagine what he’ll come up with next! Whatever it is…I want to hear it!
You Wanna Make Me Fly (I Know You Belong To A Dream) is a track that possesses a retrospective sound that seems perfectly ensconced in the 1980s. To keep things current and contemporary, there are hints present here of EDM; the uniting element here has to be Nick Festari’s inimitable vocals. There Will Be No Prize and Don’t Slam The Radio provide an emphatic end to This is me… Slower and Faster with a dichotomy of styles showcased. The former composition has listeners hurtling to the end of the release, while the more pensive and emotionally intense effort concludes the release.
